How can I access my funds?
With our Launch account, you can access your money in a variety of ways:
- Use your Camden National Bank debit card for in-person and online purchases
- Send money to friends, deposit checks and more using our safe and convenient mobile app
- Log into online banking to track your spending, pay bills and friends, transfer funds and more
- Visit any of our convenient banking centers or ATM locations
Is there a monthly maintenance fee?
Yes, there is a low monthly service fee of $4.95, and a $25 opening account deposit requirement.
Can I write checks on my account?
Our digital Launch account has no check writing capabilities so you don't need to worry about tracking paper checks. You can easily make payments using Bill Pay in online banking or the mobile app, or by using your debit card.
How will I receive my periodic statements?
You will receive paper periodic statements for a $2 monthly fee. You can avoid this fee by logging in to online banking or our mobile app and changing your statement delivery preference to “electronic” and staying enrolled in paperless statements for the life of your account.
Does this account have overdraft or returned item (NSF) fees?
With Launch checking, you are not charged overdraft or Returned Item (NSF) fees if we return or decline to authorize an item. However, third-party payees or merchants may still charge you a fee for unpaid transactions, which is beyond the Bank’s control.
Can my account ever have a negative balance?
Our standard overdraft coverage (Progressive Pay) does not apply to Launch accounts. In most cases, we’ll decline or return transactions when you don’t have enough money in your account to cover the charge. However, you could still end up with a negative balance if, for example, a transaction is approved for one amount, but then the actual charge is more than what you have in your account (just like when you add a tip at a restaurant after the transaction for the meal was already approved), or we credit a deposit that is later returned unpaid. Should your account become overdrawn at any point you’re only responsible for paying back the overdraft amount (the negative balance).
Am I able to make payments in person or over the phone by providing my account and routing numbers to a merchant?
Yes, however you'll need to ensure that the merchant uses ACH (Automated Clearing House) to process the payment as an electronic debit. If the merchant processes the payment as a paper check it'll be rejected and not paid. While Camden National Bank will not charge an overdraft or returned item (NSF) fee for rejecting and returning the check, the merchant may charge you for the unpaid transaction.
