Andrew R. Forbes, SHRM-SCP, is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Camden National Bank, where he leads critical human resources functions, including enabling and cultivating a diverse workforce to serve the financial needs of our communities and drive the company’s commitment to being a great place to work.
He oversees the development and execution of human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.
He joined the company in March 2024. He is a seasoned human resources professional with over 20 years of public company experience from senior roles at Maine Medical Center and Fairchild Semiconductor, where he gained expertise in talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, culture, and engagement.
Andrew holds a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational (IO) Psychology from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Psychology from the University of Southern Maine. He is a Society for Human Resource Management—Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
